Overview

Getting started with a new hosting provider means a lot of new information at once. This article answers the questions that come up most often early in the journey, from how billing works to what's included in your plan and how to get your site moved over.

Billing and accounts

How much does Rapyd Cloud cost?

Your cost depends on the plan you choose. All plans are available on monthly or annual billing, and annual plans include two months free. For a full breakdown of what each plan includes, see Technical Specifications of Rapyd Cloud Plans.

Are there charges beyond the plan cost?

You pay for your plan plus any add-ons or overages. If you stay within your plan's limits and don't add extras, you'll only pay the base plan price. Add-ons are available for additional storage and additional sites. Overages apply when you exceed your plan's resource limits.

We also offer enhanced support add-ons for customers who need faster response times and dedicated assistance.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.

Does Rapyd Cloud offer refunds?

Yes. If our service doesn't meet your expectations, we offer a 14-day money-back guarantee.

What happens if a payment fails?

If a payment fails, the subscription moves to a past due status and we begin retrying the charge automatically. You'll receive email reminders with a direct link to update your payment details. Sites under the subscription are suspended on day 3 if the balance remains unpaid, and the subscription is permanently cancelled on day 21. Can I change the email address on my account?

For security reasons, email address changes are handled by our support team. Reach out via the chat widget in your dashboard and we'll take care of it.


Plans

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Rapyd Cloud offers a 3-day free trial that gives you access to the same core infrastructure as our paid plans. No payment is required during the trial, but your account will automatically convert to the plan you selected at signup when the trial ends unless you cancel first. How do I know which plan is right for me?

Every site is different, so a blanket recommendation isn't possible. Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Upgrades are self-serve from the dashboard and take effect immediately. You'll be charged a prorated amount against your next billing date. For full instructions, see How to Upgrade Your Plan.

Downgrades aren't available as a self-serve option because moving to a smaller plan involves resource considerations that need to be reviewed first. Contact our support team to explore downgrade options and we'll work through it with you.

Can a plan host more than one site?

Most plans support multiple sites. The number included and the maximum allowed varies by plan tier and level. The only exception is Starter Level 1, which supports a single site only. See Technical Specifications of Rapyd Cloud Plans for a full breakdown.


Platform

What is an environment?

An environment is the server your WordPress sites run on. Each plan includes one environment, which inherits the resources defined by that plan: CPU, RAM, storage, PHP version, and region. All sites within an environment share those server-level resources. Do you offer free website migrations?

Yes. Rapyd Cloud offers free, fully managed migrations. Our team handles the files, database, functionality testing, and DNS updates. To get started, see How to Request a Managed Website Migration.

Do you provide free SSL certificates?

Yes. Every site hosted on Rapyd Cloud includes a free, auto-renewing SSL certificate provided through Cloudflare.

Do you offer staging environments?

Yes. Every site can have one staging site for testing changes before making them on your live site.

Does Rapyd Cloud offer transactional email?

No. Rapyd Cloud does not include built-in transactional email delivery. This is intentional: sending email directly from hosting infrastructure often leads to poor deliverability and spam filtering. For reliable delivery of password resets, order confirmations, form notifications, and other system emails, you'll need to connect your site to a dedicated third-party provider. Do you support cPanel, WHM, or other control panels?

Rapyd Cloud uses its own dashboard and does not support cPanel or WHM. The dashboard includes all the tools you need to manage your sites, environments, and account. You can explore what's available in the Managing Your Rapyd Account collection.
