Overview
Deleting an environment permanently removes the server your WordPress site(s)ran on, along with all configuration, logs, files, and backups associated with it. Once confirmed, this cannot be undone and the data cannot be recovered.
Before you can delete an environment, all sites within it must be removed first. Sites live inside an environment, so the environment cannot be removed while it still has contents. If you have data you want to keep, make sure to download your backups before proceeding.
In this article, you will find the prerequisites for environment deletion and step-by-step instructions for completing the process.
Prerequisites
Before proceeding, confirm the following:
Sites deleted: All sites within the environment must be deleted before the environment can be removed. If any remain, the dashboard will block you from continuing. See How to Delete a Site for instructions.
Backups downloaded: All files, backups, and data associated with the environment are permanently deleted on confirmation. Download anything you want to keep before proceeding. See Creating and Managing Backups for instructions.
Permissions: Only team members with the appropriate role can delete an environment. See Team Roles and Permissions if you are unsure whether your account has the required access.

Step 6: Confirm deletion
Enter your Rapyd Cloud account password in the field provided and confirm. The environment will be permanently deleted.
Important information
The following are permanently removed when an environment is deleted:
All configuration settings and logs
All environment data, files, and backups
This action cannot be undone and there is no grace period. If you have not yet downloaded backups from each site, do that before proceeding.
Note:
Deleting an environment empties its associated plan. If you are cancelling your subscription, this is a required step in that process. See How to Cancel a Subscription for more information.
Conclusion
Deleting an environment is permanent. Make sure your backups are downloaded and all sites are removed before you begin. If you have any questions or run into any issues, our support team is available 24/7.
