Deleting your Rapyd Cloud account is permanent and cannot be undone. Before you proceed, there are a few required steps -- clearing out your sites and canceling active subscriptions -- as well as some recommended ones, like downloading backups of anything you want to keep. This guide walks you through the full process so nothing is missed.
If you'd like to talk through your decision first, our Customer Success team is always happy to help. Reach us at [email protected].
Before You Begin
There are required and recommended actions to complete before you can delete your account. Take care of these in order.
1. Download backups of all sites (recommended)
Once your account is deleted, all associated data is gone permanently, including any backups stored on Rapyd Cloud. If there are sites you want to preserve, download their backups before going any further.
2. Delete all sites in your account (required)
All sites must be deleted before you can cancel your subscriptions and proceed with account deletion. If you still have active sites, the dashboard will block you from moving forward.
3. Cancel all active subscriptions (required)
Once your sites are deleted, cancel any active subscriptions linked to your account. You can find these under the Billing section of your dashboard. For step-by-step instructions, see How to Cancel a Subscription.
How to Delete Your Account
Step 1: Open your account settings
Log in to your Rapyd Cloud dashboard. In the top-right corner of the navigation menu, click Edit account.
Step 2: Locate the Delete Account option
Scroll to the bottom of the Account details section and click Delete account.
Step 3: Address any active subscriptions
If you still have active subscriptions, a prompt will appear before you can continue. Cancel them from the Billing section, then return to complete the deletion. See How to Cancel a Subscription for guidance.
Step 4: Review the deletion details
Before the final confirmation, the dashboard will display a summary of what deletion means for your account:
Your account and all personal information will be permanently deleted
All remaining site data, files, and backups will be permanently deleted
Team members will lose access to your team
Step 5: Confirm account deletion
Enter your Rapyd Cloud account password in the field provided and click Delete my account. This is the final step. Once confirmed, the deletion is immediate and cannot be reversed.
If your account was created through Google, GitHub, or LinkedIn, click Forgot password to set a password before completing this step. You'll receive an email with instructions to do so.
Important Information
Account deletion is permanent. There is no grace period and no way to recover data afterward. If you have any doubt, reach out to our team before completing this step.
Team members associated with your account will lose access as soon as the deletion is confirmed.
Conclusion
Once the steps above are completed, your account and all associated data will be permanently removed from Rapyd Cloud. If you ever decide to come back, we'd be glad to have you. For any questions along the way, our support team is available 24/7.
