Overview
Deleting your Rapyd Cloud account is permanent. Once confirmed, all account data, site files, backups, and team access are immediately and irreversibly removed.
Before you can delete your account, all subscriptions must be cancelled. Cancelling a subscription requires all environments to be deleted first, which in turn requires all sites to be removed. If you have not yet worked through those steps, this article will point you to the right place at each stage.
In this article, you will find the prerequisites for account deletion and step-by-step instructions for completing the process.
Prerequisites
Complete the following steps in order before attempting to delete your account:
Backups downloaded: Once your account is deleted, all data is gone permanently, including any backups stored on Rapyd Cloud. Download anything you want to keep before going any further. See Creating and Managing Backups for instructions.
Sites deleted: All sites must be deleted before environments can be removed. See How to Delete a Site for instructions.
Environments deleted: All environments must be deleted before subscriptions can be cancelled. See How to Delete an Environment for instructions.
Subscriptions cancelled: All active subscriptions must be cancelled before account deletion is possible. See How to Cancel a Subscription for instructions.
How to delete your account
Step 1: Open your account settings
Log in to your Rapyd Cloud dashboard. In the top-right corner of the navigation menu, click Edit account.
Step 2: Locate the Delete account option
Scroll to the bottom of the Account details section and click Delete account.
Important:
If any active subscriptions remain, the dashboard will block you from continuing. Cancel all subscriptions from the Billing section before proceeding. See How to Cancel a Subscription for instructions.
Step 3: Review the deletion details
Before the final confirmation, the dashboard will display a summary of what deletion means for your account:
Your account and all personal information will be deleted
You will lose access to any teams you've joined
All sites in your account will go offline immediately
All site data, including any files and backups, will be deleted
Any members in your team will lose access to your account
Step 4: Confirm account deletion
Enter your Rapyd Cloud account password in the field provided and click Delete my account. Once confirmed, the deletion is immediate and cannot be reversed.
Note:
If your account was created through Google, GitHub, or LinkedIn, click Forgot password to set a password before completing this step. You will receive an email with instructions.
Important information
Account deletion is permanent. There is no grace period and no way to recover data after confirmation.
Team members associated with your account will lose access as soon as deletion is confirmed.
