Introduction

If you’ve seen a charge from Paddle.net on your bank or credit card statement and aren’t sure where it came from, here’s what you need to know—and what to do if something looks off.

Overview of Paddle's Role

Paddle is Rapyd Cloud’s Merchant of Record. They handle all payment processing, invoicing, tax compliance, and billing support for our customers.

All payments for Rapyd Cloud services—such as hosting plans and add-ons—are processed by Paddle. As a result, charges will appear as Paddle.net, not Rapyd Cloud, on your credit card or bank statement.

Paddle is a legitimate and secure payment provider used by thousands of software companies worldwide.

You can learn more about Paddle in the links below:

Valid Charges from Paddle

As a Rapyd Cloud customer, you may receive Paddle.net charges for:

  • Monthly or annual hosting plan renewals

  • Additional services such as disk space or backup storage

  • Any other purchase made via the Rapyd dashboard

You will receive a receipt from Paddle via email for each charge. You can also confirm these charges in the Billing section of your Rapyd dashboard.

Causes of Multiple or Unexpected Charges

You may see more than one charge from Paddle for reasons unrelated to Rapyd Cloud. Common causes include:

  • Using the same email address and/or payment method with another service that also uses Paddle for billing

  • A duplicate charge due to a billing system error

  • A subscription that was not properly canceled

  • A mismatch between charges shown in Paddle and services shown in your Rapyd dashboard

These situations can be confusing but do not always indicate fraud or unauthorized activity.
