A better way to build, manage, and scale WordPress.
We’ve reimagined the Rapyd Cloud experience from the ground up. Rapyd Cloud 2.0 introduces support for multiple sites under a single plan—plus a redesigned dashboard and a new hosting model built for real-world workflows, whether you're running one site or dozens.
In this guide, we’ll cover what’s changing, how migration works, and what you need to know as a current customer on the legacy platform.
What’s New in Rapyd Cloud 2.0
Rapyd Cloud 2.0 delivers a modernized hosting experience that’s faster, more flexible, and built to scale with you.
1. Host multiple sites in one plan
Each plan now includes a single environment that can support multiple websites, all sharing that environment’s resources.
Whether you're managing a personal site, client projects, or a mix of live and staging setups, you now have the flexibility to keep them together in one place.
2. An All-New Dashboard
The dashboard has been completely redesigned for better visibility and control—with clearer navigation and a clean separation between sites and environments.
Environments, which house sites, now have their own section, where you manage resources and add-ons.
Sites are listed separately, with settings for staging, backups, domains, performance, and more.
Detailed billing views make it easy to understand costs across environments and sites.
Site creation is significantly faster with most new sites ready in under 5 minutes when added to an existing environment. Entire environments also deploy faster than before.
This is part of our broader effort to streamline workflows and reduce friction as you scale.
3. Built for what’s next
Rapyd Cloud 2.0 lays the foundation for upcoming capabilities—like improved staging, advanced scaling, and future product enhancements that aren’t supported on the legacy platform.
All new features will be released exclusively on Rapyd Cloud 2.0.
Migration Timeline: August and September 2025
We are now beginning to migrate customers from the legacy platform to Rapyd Cloud 2.0. Migrations will take place in phases throughout August and September 2025.
If you haven’t yet been migrated, there’s nothing you need to do right now. You’ll receive a personalized notification when your team is ready, along with clear steps and support throughout the process.
You’re also welcome to get started sooner. See early migration details below.
What This Means for Current Customers
To support the transition, we’ve already created a new Rapyd Cloud 2.0 team in your account. This mirrors your existing setup, so you can explore the new dashboard and features without affecting your current sites.
Your New Rapyd Cloud 2.0 Team
Your new team includes the same:
Account owner
Team members
Billing details
Team name
This team is initially empty (no sites or subscriptions) so you can try Rapyd Cloud 2.0 at your own pace. You’ll only be billed if you create a subscription in the new team.
Navigating Between Teams
In your dashboard, you’ll see both teams using the team switcher:
Your legacy team (labeled as v1)
Your new team (labeled as v2)
Legacy teams also include /v1/
in the dashboard URL. Selecting your v2 team takes you into Rapyd Cloud 2.0.
Starting Fresh vs. Waiting to Migrate
You’re welcome to start using Rapyd Cloud 2.0 right away. You can:
Explore the new dashboard
Create new subscriptions
Deploy environments
Add and manage multiple sites in a single plan
Your current sites remain safely in your legacy (v1
) team. We’ll notify you as soon as your team becomes eligible for guided migration.
Migrating to Rapyd Cloud 2.0
We’re taking a phased approach to ensure smooth migrations.
Phase 1: Access
You already have access to your Rapyd Cloud 2.0 team with the upgraded dashboard and workflows.
Phase 2: Migration eligibility
Throughout August and September, we’ll notify each team when they become eligible for guided migration. You’ll receive full instructions and support. If you’d like to migrate sooner, you can submit an early migration request.
Phase 3: Migration
Your site(s) will be moved into a Rapyd Cloud 2.0 environment. After migration:
Your sites will appear in your v2 team
Your v1 team will be retired once all sites are migrated
You’ll receive email notifications during and after the process
Downtime is minimal, typically under five minutes
Feature Compatibility
All core features from the legacy platform remain available, including:
Backups
Staging
DNS management
Site tools
Workflow settings
The main difference is where and how you access them. Everything is now structured more clearly in a way that supports multi-site environments.
Key Limitations on the Legacy Platform
These limitations apply to teams still using the legacy platform and highlight key differences from Rapyd Cloud 2.0:
Teams on the legacy platform can no longer create new subscriptions
You can still add sites to existing legacy subscriptions
Once all sites are migrated, your legacy team will be retired
All new features will be released exclusively on Rapyd Cloud 2.0
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to migrate now?
No. We’ll notify you when your team becomes eligible.
Can I move one site without moving everything else?
Yes. Each site on the legacy platform is in its own environment, so migrations can happen one site at a time.
What if I’m combining multiple sites into a single environment?
If you're merging multiple legacy sites into one Rapyd Cloud 2.0 environment, you may need to update DNS records. Only one site can retain its current IP. We’ll walk you through it if that applies to you.
Can I use both versions at once?
Yes. You can continue using the legacy platform while you get started on Rapyd Cloud 2.0.
Will I lose any data?
No. Files, databases, backups, and site settings will all be preserved.
What happens to billing history?
Your past invoices and subscription details will remain accessible in your legacy team. Rapyd Cloud 2.0 teams have separate billing and subscriptions, so legacy billing history won’t appear in your new team’s dashboard.
Will support change for legacy customers?
No. You’ll continue to receive full support. That said, all future improvements will focus on Rapyd Cloud 2.0.
Can I request early migration?
If you're eager to migrate sooner, you can submit a migration request through the Rapyd Cloud dashboard. The migration team will review and prioritize requests based on capacity. We're tracking early interest as we expand access.
How do backups, staging, and DNS work in Rapyd Cloud 2.0?
Backups, staging sites, and DNS management work the same way as on the legacy platform. You’ll see minor updates in where they appear in the new dashboard.
What Are the Benefits of Switching?
Moving to Rapyd Cloud 2.0 unlocks powerful improvements across performance, workflows, and billing transparency:
Host multiple sites under one plan
Consolidate your projects and manage them together in a single environment
The redesigned dashboard
Navigate a modern interface built for clarity, speed, and scale

Enhanced workflows
Separate environments and sites, simplify management, and grow without friction
Transparent billing
Understand exactly what you’re paying for—at both the environment and site level
Access to future features
New capabilities will be available only on Rapyd Cloud 2.0
