Expanding your backup storage is a simple process with our backup storage add-on. This guide walks you through the steps for adding more space and provides important information regarding billing and plan management.

Step-by-step: Adding Backup Storage

Adding backup storage allows you to increase your backup space in increments of 100GB, providing more flexibility as your site grows.

1. Access the Billing Area

Navigate to the Billing section from your dashboard. This can be found in the top menu bar. Click View subscription, then the Edit Plan pencil icon next to your current plan.

2. Choose Backup Storage Add-ons

In the Backup Storage section of the Edit plan modal, you’ll be able to see your current backup storage allocation. Here, you can choose the amount of additional backup space you need. You can move the slider or click on the + icon.

Storage is available in 100GB blocks, and each block costs USD $3 per month.

3. Review and Confirm

Once you've selected your desired backup storage amount, the total cost, including any prorated charges for your current billing cycle, will be displayed.

Confirm the changes by clicking on Change plan. You’ll receive an email with a receipt for the immediate charge and another email summarizing your updated subscription with the additional storage.

Important Notes

  • Prorated Billing: Charges are prorated based on your next renewal date, whether you’re on a monthly or yearly billing cycle. For annual subscriptions, backup storage add-ons are charged upfront and prorated for the year.

  • Backup Storage Blocks: Backup storage is added in 100GB blocks, so receipts will reflect the total number of blocks purchased.

  • Limited to one site: Backup storage applies only to the site associated with the plan that you apply it to. It cannot be used for multiple sites.

Conclusion

Adding additional backup storage to your plan is a straightforward way to ensure your site has the space it needs to manage frequent or large backups. By following the steps outlined above, you can easily manage your backup storage requirements and adjust your plan as needed. If you have any questions, our support team is available to assist you.
