The image above shows the Staging option for your website. This documentation shows how to use the Staging site.
If you would like to know more about staging, check out our article on Introduction to Staging Environments
Adding a Staging Site
First, click a website on your Rapyd Dashboard
Now scroll down and click on Add Staging site as shown below.
Now hit the Confirm button. It will take up to 10 minutes to create the environment.
You will also be able to see the staging creation process in your Rapyd Dashboard.
Once the staging site is completed, a link will appear in the staging environment just under the name of your site. Click on this link.
Once you click on the link, you will be taken to the staging site as shown below.
Switching Between the Production Site and Staging Site
When you select your site, your site will be on the Production site. To switch to the Staging site, choose Staging under the Production tab as shown below.
After switching to the staging site, this is how the staging site will look.
To switch back to the Production site, scroll down and click on Switch to Production. See the image below.
Rebuilding Your Staging Site
Whenever you want to test things on your staging site, it's best to start with an up-to-date copy of your production site. You can do this by:
Clicking Rebuild Staging at the bottom of the staging site overview area, then clicking Confirm on the popup.
Important Note
You cannot add a custom domain in the Staging environment. You can only add a custom domain for the Production site. So all the information of your custom domain will be in the Production site.
The staging site will show the same statistics and storage as the Production site. The staging site will also have the same storage as the Production site.
You can only push changes from the Production site to the Staging site.
You can list multiple staging sites on the Rapyd Dashboard.
