What is Server Control

Server Control refers to the process of managing and controlling servers through a centralized interface or platform. This process includes tasks such as starting, stopping, and restarting servers, monitoring server performance, and making configuration changes. Server Control is essential for businesses and organizations that rely on servers to provide their products or services.

A server is a computer system that provides network services to other computers or devices. These services can include file sharing, email, website hosting, and more. Server Control enables businesses and organizations to efficiently manage their servers, ensuring that they operate at optimal performance levels and that any issues are promptly addressed. By streamlining server management, Server Control can help businesses save time and money while also ensuring that their services are consistently available to customers or users.

Login to the Rapyd dashboard by entering your email address and password after completing the Registration process. Next click "Login" to access the dashboard.

Then choose the desired website from the Sites tab to update the WordPress version. (Here we are using Aviation Leaders as example) If you have multiple websites, use the Search bar to find the specific one.

Step 2: Get into the Server Screen

Next, Click Tools > Server from the left side menu to enter the Server screen.

You will see all of your connected servers here.

Step 3: Server Monitor and Control Process

From here you can check and control certain things, as seen in the image below:

1. Status Indication

The current status of your server can be checked from the indicator on each server box's upper right corner. As indicated by the image. Here all the servers are showing in Running condition. But they can be in three conditions - Running, Stopped, and Sleeping.

2. Control Switches

The available switches may vary depending on the server, but the most common ones include Start/Stop, Restart, and Reboot. Clicking on these buttons for a particular server allows you to Stop, Start, Restart, or Reboot it as per your need.

Before proceeding with the action, a small pop-up will appear on the screen. Be sure to read it carefully before clicking on the Confirm button.

3. Identify Servers with Version Numbers

To manage multiple servers effectively, it's crucial to identify them and take action accordingly. In the Rapyd Dashboard, this is made possible by providing separate boxes for each server. Each box displays the Name of the Server and Version Number in the upper left corner for easy identification.

4. Description with Update Notifier

Every server box includes a brief description to aid in identification. Additionally, if an Update is available for a server that has not yet been installed, the Rapyd Dashboard will alert you to this.

5. CPU Usage Indicator

The lower right corner of each server box displays an indicator showing the current percentage of CPU usage for that particular server.
