Introduction
Rapyd now supports signing in with GitHub, making it easier to access your account securely. However, for authentication to work properly, your GitHub account must have a public email address set up. If your email is private, you may encounter an error when attempting to sign in.
How to Fix GitHub Sign-In Issues
If you're unable to sign in with GitHub, follow these steps to update your GitHub account settings:
Step 1: Update Your GitHub Email Settings
Log into your GitHub account.
Click on your profile picture in the top-right corner.
Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
In the left sidebar, click Emails.
Locate the option "Keep my email addresses private" and uncheck it.
Save your changes.
Step 2: Set a Public Email Address
In GitHub, go to your Profile Settings.
Click on Public Profile.
Locate the Public email dropdown.
Select the same email address associated with your Rapyd account.
Save your changes.
Once these changes are made, try signing in again. You should now be able to authenticate with GitHub successfully.
Additional Notes
This issue may also occur during checkout if you're using GitHub for authentication.
Ensure the email address in GitHub matches the one linked to your Rapyd account.
If issues persist, contact Rapyd Support for assistance.
By following these steps, you should be able to resolve GitHub sign-in issues quickly and access your Rapyd account without problems.
