Steps to Migrate Your Domain to Rapyd
Step 1: Access the Domain Directory in the Dashboard
Log into your Rapyd account and navigate to the Domain directory, which can be found by Clicking Domains in the top navigation.
Step 2: Locate Self-managed domains
In the Self-managed domains tile, you’ll see how many domains are currently self-managed. Click Migrate domains to proceed.
Step 3: Select Domains to Migrate
A list of all self-managed domains associated with your account will appear. You’ll also see which Rapyd website each domain is currently used by. Select the domain(s) you want to migrate.
Step 4: Initiate the Migration
Click the Add domain button, which will display the total number of domains selected for migration.
Step 5: Wait for Domain Setup
Our system will prepare to manage your domain’s DNS records. This process typically takes about 1 minute. When the process is complete, you will see a link to Complete setup. Click that to continue.
Step 6: Confirm DNS Records
After your domain is set up in our system, you will be able to view it in the Domain management area of the dashboard. Click your domain to view the management page.
On that page, confirm that the DNS records have been imported correctly. Check with your current DNS host to verify before proceeding.
Step 6: Update Nameservers
After the domain is added to Rapyd, update your domain’s nameservers to the ones provided in the domain's settings. See our Guide on Changing Nameservers for detailed instructions on how to do this.
Step 7: Confirm the Migration
Once the nameservers have been updated and detected by our system, your domain will be fully migrated to Rapyd.
