Introduction

Exporting a zone file allows you to download your domain's DNS records in a standardized format for backup or use with another service. Follow these steps to export a zone file in the Rapyd dashboard:


Steps to Export a Zone File

Step 1: Access the Domain Directory

Log into the Rapyd dashboard and navigate to the domain directory by clicking Domains in the top navigation menu.

Step 2: Select the Domain

Find the domain you want to export a zone file for and click Manage.

Step 3: Open the Actions Menu

Click the Actions button located next to the Add record button.

Step 4: Click on Export Zone File

From the dropdown, select Export zone file.

The file will immediately download to your device in the BIND format and a toast notification will appear in the lower-left corner of the dashboard confirming a successful export.
